I'm not sure what to major in... advice?

Read all that, and I completely understand your desires, and aspirations.Seeing as this is your second year already, a foreign language (fluently) is totally out of the picture, but something you can always go back to in the future. For the time being...look into fields like Sociology, Political Science, Peace Studies, and International Affairs majors. Stuff like that would introduce you to a broader category of study, along with eventual careers that hold your international traveling interests. Those are just a few ideas I can throw out...but due note I'm not even in college yet. Go to your counselor for more ideas that would follow your interests. Currently I've been looking into what I might major in, which can be described just as you worded it, "interested in what's going on in the rest of the world." I always figured "English" was my strong point, but it does in fact get tedious, and monotonous. So don't give up quite, you've still got two whole years--and I'm positive you're not the only confused student out there. It would only be a waste of college if you continued with the English major knowing it doesn't suit you. Live up your college years :)
